Alex and Anthem
This 10/22/95 litter consisted of three pups, a cream bitch and two grizzle boys. I had planned to keep only the bitch, but after Qahir's owners came to pick up their puppy, my husband suggested we keep the remaining two. My first thought was to wonder who this impostor on my couch might be. My second was to figure out a way to make him stay. Actually Zoe (their dam) is Eddie's favorite, so it was more for her sake than mine that he made this uncharacteristic suggestion. Zoe had gone about the house searching and whining for the third pup days after he was gone.

"Alex"
Ch. Aijalon Z'Bee Alexander is intensely devoted to me. Our one-on-one relationship is enviable. He greets me when I come home in the most exuberant manner, he plays hard, he gets totally into his ear-rubs until he's smooshing his nose sideways into my leg and "snorkeling" with contentment. The down side is that he doesn't like to share me with any other dogs but we're working on that.
Alex is a beautiful mover who seems to float with fluidity and effortlessness. He has been favored by many breeder judges, and the compliments I've received on him from other exhibitors have been most gratifying.

"Anthem"
Ch. Aijalon Z'Bee Khrysanthemum came on the show scene looking very together for a 7 month old, going Best in Sweeps her first time out. Two months later, she won her second Puppy Sweeps at Empire's July show, and a September BOS in Sweeps before entering the "mom-better-leave-me-at-home-while-my-body-catches-up-with-my-legs" stage. Her body did eventually catch up , and a lovely body it is , too. She's smooth and curvaceous, quite feminine for a rather large girl (about 27"). She was a pleasure to show, and I look forward to making the occasional ring appearance with her at Specialties and such. She loves being mom's special girl for an occasional show weekend, taking long walks with Saluki friends and sleeping in hotel rooms where she hogs the pillows.

| Anthem is now a Southern belle! The only canine in her new (since April 2001) household. She is pampered by
Jacqui & Richard. She has been on a lengthy vacation across the U.S. on her own "sofa" in her new
van with her new family. Anthem now goes by the name "Suha". This is the life she dreamed of! But what's all that green stuff on the ground in her new yard? |
